Leading by Faith

A lot is said and talked about when it comes to leadership. But what does it really look like? Why is it so difficult to find good leaders? First, no one is perfect, and we tend to be critical without being graceful. The sign of a good leader is one who can blend grace and change into the path of a compelling vision. No one wants to go through life without meaning and purpose. Therefore, the leader who best understands people and loves them will lead them best. We aren’t talking about an emotional love but rather a love that puts people on a path that leads to a better place even though the journey might be filled with difficulty, trials, and the unknown. Most people will not choose on their own to go in a direction they deem too difficult. Noah was a good leader because he had a godly fear and faith that built the ark to save his family. Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, without knowing where he was going. Leadership isn’t about a person’s imperfection and having all the right answers. It is more about faith in the Right place while loving people through the journey in which we have been called to take.
